Friday, Nov. 24, 2023 - Senior officials from the Asset Recovery Inter-Agency Network for West Africa (ARINWA) paid a courtesy visit to the Vice President of The Gambia, His Excellency Mohammed B.S Jallow at the State House in Banjul.

The delegation, accompanied by Mr. Lamin J. Gassama, Director of Intelligence and International Cooperation, Drug Law Enforcement Agency engaged in fruitful discussions concerning ARINWA’s activities and initiatives. ARINWA is an informal network for information exchange on asset recovery, confiscation and money laundering in West Africa.

During the meeting, representatives advocated for the establishment of an asset recovery agency in The Gambia. In response, the Vice President affirmed The Gambia Government’s support, highlighting President Adama Barrow’s active leadership in realizing this objective.
