National Population Commission Secretariat (NPCS)
Established in 1997, the NPCS coodinates the implementation of the National Population Policy and related programs. It focuses on advocacy, research, and capacity-building to improve the quality pf life in The Gambia.
Key Functions:
Food Safety and Quality Authority (FSQA)
The FSQA is responsible for ensuring the safety and quality of food in The Gambia. It regulates and monitors food production, processing, and distribution to protect health and ensure compliance with national and international standards.

National Nutrition Agency (NaNA)
NaNA is dedicated to improving nutritional standards and addressing malnutrition in The Gambia. It develops and implements nutrition policies and programs, conducts research, and provides education and support to enhance the nation’s nutritional status.

National Disaster Management Agency (NDMA)
The NDMA is tasked with coordinating disaster preparedness, response, and recovery efforts in The Gambia. It works to mitigate the impact of natural and man-made disasters through strategic planning, capacity-building, and public awareness initiatives.
