H.E Mohammed B.S Jallow

Vice President

VP Jallow earned his Primary and Higher Teacher’s Certificates from Gambia College in the 1980s, followed by a BA Honours in Education in 1991 and a Master’s in Educational Planning and Statistics in 1995 from the University of Bristol, UK. Starting his career as a teacher in 1980, he specialized in Mathematics and Science by 1988. He became an Education Planner/Statistician in 1992 and rose to Director of Information Technology and Human Resources and later Director of Planning at the Ministry of Education, gaining international recognition for his work.

Jallow implemented the Educational Management Information System (EMIS) and developed a Geographical Information System for school mapping. He contributed significantly to the EDUCATION FOR ALL (EFA) Campaign and revised key education policies. As Permanent Secretary of Policy Coordination and Head of the Civil Service, he managed the Civil Service and state-owned enterprises, showcasing his extensive experience in educational planning and administration.
