Chinese Ambassador Highlights Strong Bilateral Ties and Future Cooperation in Meeting with Vice President Jallow

In a recent high-level meeting on Friday, Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the People’s Republic of China to the Gambia, Liu Jin, expressed gratitude for the opportunity to engage in discussions with His Excellency, the Vice President of The Gambia, Muhammed BS Jallow, emphasizing the steady growth and promising future of bilateral relations between China and The Gambia.

During the visit, the Ambassador highlighted significant achievements over the past year, particularly in the area of people-to-people exchanges.

“More than 1,000 Gambian friends from across the globe have visited China to participate in various programs,” noted the Ambassador. “These exchanges have fostered stronger mutual trust, understanding, and deepened the friendship between our nations.”

Looking ahead, the Chinese Ambassador shared plans to further strengthen the partnership between the two countries.

“We hope to work with the Gambian side to promote and develop our bilateral relations even further in the coming year,” he stated, adding that China greatly appreciates Gambia’s continued support of the one-China policy.

His Excellency Vice President Jallow expressed satisfaction with the current state of relations and reaffirmed Gambia’s commitment to deepening cooperation in the years to come. Both sides voiced optimism about expanding collaboration and building confidence in the future of their exchange and partnership.

The Ambassador concluded by expressing hope for even greater opportunities for Gambian citizens to visit China, believing such interactions will bring tangible benefits to both nations.
