His Excellency Mohammed B.S. Jallow, Vice President of The Gambia, on Monday, 12 August hosted a high-powered delegation from CEKA GROUP A.S. (Turkey) and YAYE AICHA (Senegal–Gambia), working in collaboration with SARIOGLULARI, at the State House in Banjul.
The visiting investors unveiled ambitious proposals aimed at transforming two key sectors in the country, housing and energy. Their plans include the construction of affordable housing for all civil servants, complete with flexible payment schemes, as well as a nationwide electricity supply project designed to expand energy access to communities across The Gambia.
Speaking on behalf of the delegation, Mr. Matarr Sosseh, Head of Delegation, reaffirmed the group’s commitment to partnering with the Gambian government in advancing its development agenda. He expressed gratitude to the Vice President for the warm reception and encouragement given to the investors.
Vice President Jallow welcomed the proposals and assured the investors of the Government’s willingness to facilitate further discussions through the relevant ministries to ensure the projects are successfully implemented.
The initiatives, if realised, are expected to significantly boost infrastructure, improve living standards, and stimulate economic growth in The Gambia.
